Hayley secures promotion to newly created quality manager role
Apple Transcription has promoted from within as it strengthens its focus on quality and retaining its ISO accreditations.
Hayley Hathaway, who has been with the company for almost 10 years, has made the step up from transcription manager to the newly created role of quality manager.
In this position, Hayley will build on her experiences and knowledge developed over the last few years, in particular the reviewing of colleagues’ work, ensuring logs and records are kept to prove accuracy, and maintaining the training site to allow for detailed feedback internally.
It’s a key move for Apple Transcription as the firm looks to the future with optimism after a year of growth and investment.
Hayley said: “I’m really excited about where the company is going, and to have this opportunity to play a part is fantastic.
“Not many people stay with the same organisation for 10 years, but I think it speaks volumes about who they are as an employer. They’re constantly looking at ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness and include the team in decision-making.
“Creating this new role is testament to that. Most businesses typically just have employees who focus on client work, so for Apple Transcription to insert a quality manager position into the structure backs up everything they say.”
Apple Transcription, which holds ISO 9001 and 27001 as well as Cyber Essentials, operates in sectors including legal, medical, law, public sector, and retail.
Director Christine Vaughan said: “As Apple Transcription become more complex with a growth in customers as well as diversity of work, it was clear that having one dedicated person focusing on the skills and expertise associated with quality was vital.
“We didn’t have to look far, as Hayley has been delivering elements of quality control as she took on more responsibility. She knows us and the industry inside out and lives and breathes our ethics and high standards.”
Fellow director Dorothy Roberts added: “Hayley has a key contribution to make in the development of our business, and we are delighted that she has accepted this promotion.
“The launch of our new secure portal combined with our updated staffing structure sets the foundations perfectly for us to start 2024 on the right foot and continue at pace with our aspirations as a business.”
